What a cozy day. I've been curled up all day with my mug of coffee, pen in hand, doing what I love...writing. Although normally I wouldn't choose to write a twelve page research paper on the effects of motivation on students, it sure beats working out my chemistry problems, which I've been avoiding for the past week...
Lately I've been stressing about my school work. As the end of the semester approaches (is it that time already?) I can't help but get excited to go home for Christmas break without any homework to worry about. Then I realize, "crap, I have to get all this work done before I can relax in front of the fireplace at home"...cue panic. I have never been one to procrastinate, and today is no exception. While my hard work today may be a result of my loneliness and lack of distraction, (Megan is at home, Abbey with her boyfriend, and Emily and Hillary are being initiated into their sorority), I like to think it is because I am exceptionally studious, and maybe just a little too lazy to go out in the cold and walk to the rec. Either way, I had an extremely productive day, and am feeling a lot less stressed.
That said, I would trade all of my productivity today with the chance to meet a nice, sweet, cute boy, who holds the door for me, acts like a gentleman, loves his mom, and worships the ground I walk on...is that too much to ask for? Apparently yes, it is, because as it turns out, boys do not come to college to meet a great girl who respects herself too much to never wear pants. Boys in college, for some reason which I can still not comprehend, would rather spend time with girls who piddle on the floor (yes, that really happens) than girls who, well...don't. But maybe the quality guys are just harder to find...
Hillary, who is joining me on this man hunt, thinks that the place to start our search is Moos Towers...aka the medical building. Our favorite part of the day is walking to class past the Moos building, when all of the hot med students are sitting outside eating lunch. After some serious creeping, we've decided that the dental students seem to be extra attractive, and have seriously contemplated purposely chipping a tooth in order to meet one. One night, on our way home from working out, we passed by the most attractive human being on the planet (coincidentally he was wearing his scrubs...which obviously didn't hurt). He gave us an awkward smile as we walked by, most likely because we both could not keep our eyes off of him. He hadn't even fully passed us yet when Hillary let out a huge sigh "Oooooh my gosh".
Anyways, maybe we're being a little unrealistic...but hey, never hurts to dream!
