Here I Go

     My name is Erin, and I’m a first time blogger.  Recently, someone I look up to encouraged me to start a blog, and at first I cringed at the idea.  Me? who often made fun of bloggers and their constant need to tell everyone what they think?  But the more I replayed the idea in my head, the better it sounded.  I LOVE to write, and I love to talk about myself...sounds like perfect blog material to me!  Frankly, I don’t care who reads my stories, or if anyone reads them at all, I’m simply doing this as a way to have fun, to document this crazy, exciting time, and to do what makes me happy, write.  I started brainstorming about what I could blog about.  I made a list and realized, I have a lot to say!  

I am a freshman at the University of Minnesota, and this blog is inspired by my new friends and our experiences here.  Coming from a town of 3,000 people, navigating around Minneapolis is a challenge in and of itself...add classes, homework, working out, job searching, a social life, and my life has taken some drastic changes in the past two and a half months.  (Has it only been two months?!)

I am having the time of my life, however.  Here, at the U, I have met someone who is just as critical, sarcastic, and humorous as I am.  Her name is Hillary, and we have quickly become inseparable.  I dedicate this blog to her, to our friendship, and to our past, present, and future adventures. (And of course anything else that happens to be on my mind)
